Started at the age of nineteen and finished before his twenty-first birthday, this is Stanley's first novel. A native of San Francisco, he is an actor, filmmaker, and visual artist. A decade after How to Enjoy Life..., he has gone on to win numerous awards and recognition for his cinematic commercials.

Waaaay back in high school, Ezra was a youth counselor and peer resource facilitator. In 1999, the city of San Francisco honored him with the Jerry Neale/Ira Sachnoff Award for his "accomplishments" and "dedication" as a top counselor. In the first year of college, he volunteered as a facilitator, teaching the tools of experiential learning through the use of journaling. He then went on to volunteer teach ADHD(Attention Deficit and Hyperactive) boys who were having trouble or failing in middle school.

His various experiences all contribute to this experiential psychological thriller.
